Bootlegger alleges that Wrexham Lager owes him money

Social media influencer Bootlegger, also known as Karl Phillips, recently spoke out about what he claims to be unpaid funds from his collaboration with Wrexham Lager. The partnership between Bootlegger and Wrexham Lager resulted in the creation of Bootlegger 1974 Pilsner in 2020.

In a video posted by Bootlegger, he expressed frustration at not receiving payment from the company, stating that there was “no money going in my bank account.” However, Wrexham Lager refuted these claims, stating that Bootlegger was fully paid before the video was made and that the company had made several attempts to reach out to him.

Despite this, Bootlegger remains adamant about the unpaid amount and even shared an encounter with a staff member in another video where he demanded the money he believed he was owed. He expressed his disappointment in the change he perceived in the company’s behavior, emphasizing that they were no longer the people he once knew and loved.

Wrexham Lager responded to the initial video, expressing appreciation for their collaboration with Bootlegger and clarifying that he was not owed any money at the time of the video. They maintained that Bootlegger products are still available in their shop and in various Wrexham bars. The company also stated that they have tried to reach out to Bootlegger and are looking forward to resolving the issue in person.

As the situation unfolds, with Bootlegger planning to meet with the company next week, it remains to be seen how this dispute will be resolved. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
