Pennsylvania man taken into custody for uploading YouTube video showing father’s decapitated head

A Pennsylvania man has been apprehended on accusations of fatally attacking his father and then posting a sickening YouTube video displaying the decapitated head. Justin Mohn, 32, has been charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and possessing an instrument of crime with intent.

In the disturbing YouTube video, titled “Mohn’s Militia – Call To Arms For American Patriots,” Mohn is seen donning gloves and holding his father’s head in a plastic bag. Later, the head is shown in a cooking pot. During the video, he refers to his father as a traitor, calls for the demise of federal officials, and denounces the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community, and antifa activists. YouTube removed the 14-minute video promptly after it was uploaded.

Mohn has a history of suing federal agencies and his former employer, Progressive Insurance, although he was unsuccessful in his lawsuits. His legal battles go back several years, where he has represented himself.

The grim scene was discovered when Mohn’s mother found her deceased husband and promptly contacted the authorities. She informed the police that Mohn was the only individual present at the house during that time. Mohn was later stopped by police, 100 miles from the crime scene, as he was driving a car registered to his late father.

Swift action by law enforcement averted any potential danger when, armed with a firearm, Mohn entered a National Guard base. Middletown Township Detective Lt. Stephen Forman noted that the authorities had prior interactions with Mohn. However, no attorney is listed for Mohn in court records.

This horrific and shocking incident is a reminder that extreme beliefs and actions warrant immediate attention and intervention. The community is left reeling from the tragic loss of a life, highlighting the necessity for improved support and measures for individuals in distress.
