Rep. Lauren Boebert was hospitalized in Colorado due to severe swelling in her leg, which was diagnosed as May-Thurner Syndrome. She underwent successful surgery to remove a blood clot and insert a stent, with doctors expecting a full recovery. May-Thurner Syndrome is rare but can lead to life-threatening complications if not treated.
Dr. Rebecca Bade and the team at UCHealth Medical Center provided excellent care, and Boebert looks forward to returning to Congress to continue serving Colorado. The condition, while not inherently dangerous, can lead to serious complications if left untreated.
Boebert represents Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District and is now seeking a seat in the 4th district. The surgery was performed successfully and she is expected to recover fully. May-Thurner Syndrome patients can resume normal activities after a brief recovery period.
