Qualifying draw for Women’s Euro 2025 set for Tuesday

European countries are eagerly awaiting the Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying draw, which will take place on Tuesday at 12:00 GMT in Nyon. Of the 55 countries within Uefa, 51 will enter the draw, with Switzerland already qualified as the host nation for next year’s tournament. Defending champions England will be hoping to qualify and retain their crown, with qualifying matches scheduled between April and July.

The new format for the tournament will see 15 teams earning qualification. The teams have been divided into three leagues – A, B, and C – based on the results of the 2023-24 Nations League campaign. The draw will consist of teams from each league being placed in groups, with the top two from each League A group automatically qualifying for Euro 2025. The remaining spots will be determined through play-offs.

The draw pots for each league have been determined, with potential match-ups including England facing the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland potentially playing against Scotland or Wales. The play-offs will involve the top-ranked teams that did not automatically qualify, with the winners earning a spot in the tournament.

Overall, the Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying draw promises to be an exciting and competitive event, with teams vying for a chance to compete in Switzerland next year. The road to qualification will be challenging, but the prospect of securing a spot in the prestigious tournament is sure to motivate teams to give their all on the field.
