“Continued Investigations in Norwich After Discovery of Deceased Family”

A large police presence remains in a town after the bodies of a man, woman, and two young girls from the same family were found. The man has been named locally as Bartlomiej Kuczynski.

Norfolk Police discovered the bodies with injuries after forcing entry to a house in Costessey, near Norwich, following a call from the public. The incident is being treated as “isolated” and roads in the area are still closed.

Det Ch Insp Chris Burgess stated that the man and two children lived at the address, while the woman involved was visiting and did not live at the property. The next of kin have been informed and are receiving support.

The force is calling for caution in the sharing of information on social media and within communities, emphasizing the importance of relying on information provided by the police to avoid spreading false information.

No cause of death has been given, and post-mortem examinations are scheduled to take place.

The Diocese of Norwich expressed its condolences and announced that churches in Old Costessey and Easton would be open for those affected by the tragedy to come and pray.

Justin Sandifer, a resident in the area, expressed shock and disbelief at the tragic events, emphasizing that such incidents are uncommon in the area.

The historic background of this incident includes a previous police visit to the same house on December 14 as part of a missing persons inquiry. This previous investigation will be re-examined in the wake of the recent discovery.

As the investigation continues, the community is urged to remain cautious in sharing information and to rely on official updates from the police.
